sayonara!

I leave for Japan tomorrow at 8 am. I'm really nervous, I think it's going to be hard to sleep tonight. It's going to be strange to be in Japan for 2 weeks without the boys, but I'll probably be so busy that the days will just fly by.

All this preparation, and the time has finally come. Wish me luck everyone!

Mandy's apartment

Home decorating has always been a big thing for me. And well, since I don't really have a place to call my own right now, I thought I'd show other people's houses that I really love. My sister-in-law, Mandy, has always been a great decorator. She has an amazing eclectic style that I've always tried to copy, but I'm just not as good! These are some pics I took of her 100-year-old Fort Worth apartment over the Fourth of July weekend. So inspiring!!

Back in the Lone Star State

Last week was one tough week.

We packed everything last Sunday, and drove for two days to get to Texas. We arrived at about 2am Wednesday. Nate drove the moving van with Ethan and me and Rachel were in the Element. I'm pretty sure we listened to every CD in the car, and when we listened to Gogol Bordello about 3 times in a row. Nothing like Gypsy Punk to keep you goin'!

On Wednesday, we had get everything off the van and into a storage space. Then on Thursday, it was off to Dallas to be in my friend Megan's wedding. I was exhausted, but it was a beautiful wedding, and I was so proud to be a part of it.

So now I'm just trying to whittle away the to-do list before we leave for Japan. But I'm trying to keep a cool head in the midst of it all.
